Conservation

Understanding one child.
Protecting one species.

Every paid report funds conservation of your child's matched animal — through a vetted, species-specific partner chosen for credibility and direct field impact.

When a child is matched to an archetype, they're matched to a real animal. One whose behavior in the wild genuinely mirrors their personality profile. That connection is part of the design.

We believe that helping a parent understand their Snow Leopard child, or their Sea Otter child, creates a small but real stake in that animal's survival. We wanted to honor that connection with something tangible.

So a portion of every $14.99 report goes directly to conservation of the matched species — through organizations we've vetted carefully for their rating, focus, and track record. Each is listed below.

Faunaly publishes its total annual giving and partner list publicly each January at faunaly.com/conservation.

One partner per archetype
Each of the 16 animals is matched to a single, species-specific conservation organization — chosen for direct focus on that species and verified charitable standing.
Annual lump-sum giving
Faunaly makes one intentional donation per partner each December. Not micro-payments per report. This allows for meaningful, relationship-building gifts that grow with revenue.
Selection criteria
Every partner is a verified 501(c)(3) with a Charity Navigator rating of 3 stars or higher, or equivalent verified standing where CN data is unavailable.
Transparent reporting
Total annual giving and full partner list published publicly each January. No vague "portion of proceeds" language — specific partners, specific amounts.

Faunaly makes a single, lump-sum annual donation to each conservation partner each December. Not a per-report micro-payment. We chose this structure intentionally: it allows us to make meaningful, relationship-building donations rather than fragmented micro-transactions that are administratively burdensome for small nonprofits.

Where two archetypes share a natural conservation partner — Orca and Humpback Whale both map to Whale and Dolphin Conservation — a single combined donation is made rather than two separate smaller ones. The conservation note in each individual report still names the shared partner specifically.

Our annual giving total and full partner list is published publicly at faunaly.com/conservation each January, following Faunaly's annual revenue review. The partner directory is reviewed and verified annually before donations are made.
